  1. What are Ten Benefits of Recycling? Recycling isn’t just good for the environment—it’s essential. As the world grapples with mounting waste, the benefits of recycling have grown more measurable and meaningful than ever. Whether you are focused on plastic waste management, plastic waste disposal, plastic recycling, or broader waste management, recycling plays a critical role. Below are ten data-backed benefits of recycling, explaining why it matters for the environment, the economy, and future generations. 1. Reduces Landfill Waste First and foremost, one of the greatest benefits of recycling is that it significantly reduces the amount of waste ending up in landfills. In 2018, Americans generated about 292.4 million tons of municipal solid waste (MSW), but only 32.1% of that was recycled or composted. US Consequently, recycling diverted around 94 million tons of waste from landfills, easing the pressure on waste disposal systems. By doing so, recycling supports better plastic waste management and lessens reliance on landfill-based plastic waste disposal. 2. Saves Energy Another significant benefit is energy savings. Producing materials like aluminum, plastic, and glass from recycled sources uses far less energy than manufacturing them from raw materials. For instance, manufacturing recycled plastic requires about two-thirds of the energy compared to producing new plastic. EPA Archives+1 Read More:- Ten Benefits of Recycling
