  2. Standards • Objective- Students will review how to conjugate Stem-Changing Verbs (Boot Verbs) in Spanish • Essential Question- What are stem-changing verbs, and how do they differ from regular verbs?

  3. In order to change a stem, you must… 1. Drop the ending (-ar,-er, -ir) 2. Change the STEM **2nd-to-the-last vowel** ex. cerrar, querer 3. Add the correct ending to each form

  4. REMEMBER!!!! • The stems change in all forms, EXCEPT the nosotros form

  5. Dormir (o:ue)- to sleep

  6. Pensar (e:ie)- to think

  7. Pedir (e:i)- to ask for, to request
