According to Merriam-WebsterDictionary A Process: A series of actions or operations conducing to an end • Very High Level • Based on Global Strategic, and Business Plans A Procedure: A series of steps followed in a regular, definite order • Cascading levels of detail • Regional, Country, Local

  3. WHY DO WE NEED THEM?

  4. Customer Service Levels • Supplier Response Rating • Execute Business Strategy • Quality in Manufacturing • Financial Integrity • Inventory Accuracy • COGS • Operational Excellence • ISO or other Certification • Education • Training • Certification

  5. The Global Community Challenges • Distance/Cost • Different Cultures • Difficult Communication/Language barriers • Time Zones • ERP Environments • Differences in Law/Regulations • Different Activities – • Pure Manufacturing vs. Pure Distribution

  6. The Global Community The Global processes are owned by a team on which all regions are represented. We call them regional champions.

  7. The Global Community Regional procedures are developed on an as-needed basis. Usually necessary to outline responsibility.

  8. The Global Community Local procedures are usually specific to country, plant, ERP environment, or other defining criteria.
