  2. Introduction • Scientific names are Macropusgiganteus, macropusfuliginosus, and macropusrufus. • There is 4 different species including the eastern gray ,western gray and red kangaroo. • They are also the largest Marsupial.

  3. What Do They Look Like. • They have long toe nails. • they have a pouch on there stomach. • Kangaroos have long toe nails. • They have very strong hind legs • They have very strong tails. • They have very large feet

  4. More on How they Look • They have large ears. • They have large teeth. • Short front legs. • They have strong feet. • They are 5 to 6 feet tall. • They have short grey fur • They have whiskers around their nose

  5. How Old Can They Get • Up to nineteen years in the wild. • They also at leyest6 years. • But the after 6 to 8 years.

  6. How Hot Do They Like It and what weather do they like. • In the grass lands the temperature is 40 at the lowest and 70 is the highest. • And they also get ten inches of rain • And in the woodlands and forests the climate is 40 to 68 degrees and also 12 to 35 inches of rain

  7. Habitat And Landforms • They live in varied habitats from woodlands and forests to grassy plains and savannas. • The countries they live in are manly Australia, and parts of New Guinea and Popa New Guinea

  10. Babies • the kangaroo keeps its babies in a pouch. • when the baby is born it is only 3 oz. at birth. • The baby has to climb only 4 in to the top of the mothers pouch that may not seem, like a lot to you but it is like a infant climbing up a steep hill to get to its mother.

  11. Behavior • Kangaroos live in groups called mobs living in groups can help the kangaroo live by finding more water and finding more food. • The kangaroo can hop at speeds up to 35 miles per hour to.

  12. Physical Adaptations • Their tails help them by letting them stand up and kick there predators to defend themselves. • Kangaroos can hop up to 35 miles per hour to get away from predators. • There strong legs help them defend themselves from predators.

  13. Physiological Adaptations • They have certain tail muscles in there tail that enables them to stand up straight on it. • The kangaroo has certain bacteria that helps the kangaroo digest its food. • The kangaroo has special muscles in its foot so that when it kicks it dose not feel any thing

Behavioral Adaptations • Kangaroos learn not to fight other animals but to run away to not get hurt. • Many kangaroo species learn to communicate with noise to help warn that preaters are near. • Kangaroo babies stay in there mothers pouch for safety and also because they can not surfiv on there own.

  15. Fun Facts • A kangaroo baby is 3 oz big at birth. • A kangaroo can hop farther then the length of a school bus. • Some people made kangaroos box. • Some people eat kangaroo meat.
