Text A Farewell Speech Ladies and gentlemen, (Para. 1) Today’s meeting will be a most memorable occasion for me, because it is my time to thank everyone for their support and encouragement in the past year during my tenure as president of this group. Serving as your president gave me the opportunity to work with everyone here, and I count that one of the greatest personal rewards I received during the last year. 1 2

As a result, we are able to carry on some of our most important projects, and thousands of trees were distributed to the city residents for planting, thus contributing to the beauty and brilliance of our city for years to come.
