  1. Advantages & Disadvantages of Internet Storage

  2. Advantage: Easy Access •  Online storage websites are important to people who travel and don't always have access to their laptop. Logging on and immediately accessing data or photos is an advantage that's comparable to using an Internet mail service. It is convenient and keeps you from not having data because your laptop crashed or you forgot to bring the data CD. Storage websites also allow collaborators and employees to easily log in to your account and access data. This can save small businesses quite a bit of money, as networking computers will not be as crucial.

  3. Advantage: Safety •  If you store your photos and documents on your hard drive without creating backups, you are asking for trouble. Hard drives crash and computers get stolen. Using Internet storage as a backup can be more convenient and accessible for many people than backing up data on a DVD or CD.

  4. Disadvantage: Security •  Internet storage websites are like any other business, existing to make a profit. If the business is no longer profitable, it can dissolve or declare bankruptcy. There's no guarantee that the business will notify customers.Use these online storage sites only as a backup for important documents.

  5. Disadvantage: Privacy •  Online storage sites pop up every day. While most of these sites are legitimate, you can't be certain the wrong person won't access your data. The bottom line: people running the website will be able to view your data.

  6. Disadvantage: Cost •  If you need an Internet storage site that lets you upload unlimited gigabytes of data, you'll pay for it. There are free services available, but these typically limit the number of gigabytes uploaded. Also, beware of services that don't charge for uploading data, but charge for downloads.

  9. External hard drives • External hard is the best way to go. You can store any type of information; you can even keep large amounts of video files on one, because they come in many different sizes.

  10. Back-up regularly is a great way to free up space, but an external can fail just as an internal drive. If the internal drive fails simply install a new hard drive. Here’s two resources blood pressure monitor, and Jacksonville Demolition.
