Bias • Bias is difficult to handle in any human perception experimentation, and its influence can profoundly influence the resulting data and distort conclusions. • Skills bias (designer –architectural, engineering) • Confounding minimum acceptable window size data: Influence of view; geographical location (Winnipeg, Seattle,Berkeley and London); publicity (London replication of earlier RGH work); non-representative sample (miner’s) data. • Union v non-union discomfort glare data.
