  3. Laws of Motion 1. Every object has uniform motion unless acted upon by force 2. The force applied to an object is equal to the objects mass times the resulting acceleration 3. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction

  4. First Law The earth moving around the sun proves the first law. The earth does not move in a straight path because of the force acted on it by the sun.

  5. Second Law F=ma

  7. Law of Gravity The gravitational of force experienced is equal to a gravitational constant times both masses divided by the distance between them squared

  8. Optics He demonstrated that a prism could decompose white light into a spectrum of colors, and a lens along with a second prism could recompose the multicolored light into white light
