MAIN AREAS OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT • DIVISION OF BOILERS AND STEAM GENERATORS • New combustion concepts and technologies (low NOx furnaces, biomass and waste combustion, combustion in the O2-rich atmosphere) • Development of boilers modernization concepts in order to increase their efficiency and ability to burn various fuels (i.e. biomass co-combustion) • Investigations of secondary methods of NOx reduction (SCR and SNCR) • Numerical modeling of heat transfer, combustion processes,ecological performance • Biomass combustion using the special furnaces • Investigations on grinding and drying processes in solid fuel preparation installations • Development of new types of heating surfaces • Experimental research on regenerative rotary air heaters • Others....
