My favorite Japanese foods. Information. All pictures were taken by me over the course of many years. I have lived in Japan for 3 – 6 months a year for the last 6 years. I love Japanese food. 牛丼 Gyūdon. Gyūdon is a bowl of rice topped with beef and onions.

  3. 牛丼Gyūdon • Gyūdon is a bowl of rice topped with beef and onions. • There are many varieties of Gyūdon such as Wasabi, Kimchi, green onion, etc…. • Gyūdon is very delicious and is a great value, making it one of my favorite meals. Kevin Walton - CIS 1020 Final project

  4. 鍋Nabe • Nabe is a stew or soup in Japan that can have anything in it, just choose what you want and throw it in. • Nabe is actually referring to the type of pot that you are cooking it in. • Nabe are usually kept warm as you eat them by bringing a portable stove to the table.   5. ジンギスカンJingisukan Jingisukan is lamb dish where you cook the lamb yourself on a skillet in the middle of the table. But also comes with vegetables, rice, miso soup, etc… Waitress preparing the first part of the meal Cooking first part while eating salad and miso soup.
