Welcome to ASPR • We are pleased you have joined or are considering joining our organization! • By joining ASPR, you establish a link with more than a thousand in-house physician recruiters who share similar challenges and goals. • It’s a relationship that has proven to be invaluable to our members time and again.

What is ASPR? • ASPR is a growing professional organization comprised of more than 1,000 in-house physician recruitment professionals from across the US and Canada. • Our members recruit physicians and other healthcare providers to staff the hospitals, clinics, and managed care organizations where they are employed. Aiming to find physicians the best jobs for their professional goals, families, and lifestyles.

Who is Eligible for Membership? • Individuals who are engaged in the recruitment of physicians and other healthcare providers and who are employed to do so by a hospital, clinic, or state/federal governmental agency. • Independent contractors and self-employed recruiters who are contracted directly and/or exclusively recruiting for a single facility that employs physicians.

5. Who is Eligible for Membership? • Employees from third-party search firms or who are affiliated with a third-party search firm are not eligible for membership.

What is ASPR? • ASPR was founded in 1990, as a networking and educational resource dedicated solely to in-house physician recruitment professionals. • ASPR continues to be the premier educational resource for in-house physician recruitment professionals and is dedicated to their professional development.

ASPR’s Mission & Vision • Mission: ASPR, through education and networking, will enhance and promote the professional development of members to provide value and expertise to their organizations and the healthcare industry. • Vision: To be recognized as the leading authority for physician recruitment and retention.

Educational Benefits ASPR Fellowship Program: • Consists of three training tracks (Associate/101, Diplomate/201, and Fellow/301) and subsequent exams leading to the designation of Fellow of the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (FASPR). • Becoming a FASPR demonstrates ones knowledge of many varied disciplines including recruitment, retention, medical practice management, human resources, law, marketing, and business.

Educational Benefits E-Learning: • ASPR is currently developing educational webinars and other e-learning opportunities. • Ideal for those unable to travel or are looking for educational opportunities in between conferences. • Provides opportunities to obtain CEU’s from the comfort of your home or office.

Educational Benefits Quarterly Journal: • The Journal of the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (JASPR) includes articles that cover topics such as industry updates, best practices in recruitment/retention, and legislative issues that can impact in-house physician recruitment. • As a member you will receive quarterly issues.
