  2. Business Meeting • Thanks to our hosts: Academia Sinica • Thanks to Pacific Neighborhood Consortium • Introductions. • Newest member: Stanford University • Attending for the first time: Chinese University of Hong Kong • University by university self introductions

  3. Business cont. • Thank Steering Committee members who will finish their terms with this meeting: Brian Schottlaender and Simon Lin • Welcome new Steering Committee members: Colin Storey, Chinese University of Hong Kong; Diane Perushek, University of Hawaii at Manao.

Secretariat To Move • Following the Seoul Meeting Secretariat to move • Members who are willing to entertain taking on the responsibility of chairing the Steering Committee and serving as the PRDLA Secretariat should contact a member of the Steering committee • Important responsibility at an important time

  7. Future Meetings • 2005 North America – PRDLA pattern • 2006 Seoul, Korea • 2007 Berkeley, California USA • 2008 Asia side of the Pacific Rim??

  8. Today’s program • How can we best provide access to member resources • 7 Options • Not mutually exclusive: Not pick one of seven. We may pick two or more for different reasons. • Today’s challenge: Not get lost in all the information. Scoring sheet/6 variables

  9. Today’s program • Listen • Keep track of your impressions in terms of the six variables • At conclusion of the seven presentation we’ll do three things: • Fill out a joint scoring sheet • Decide what we want to do • Talk about how we’ll do it
