Overview of Distributed Application and Condition Database Management for ECAL

This document presents the architecture and functionality of a distributed application comprising components such as ECAL+ and ECAL-. It details the writing of a single record to the Condition Database (Cond_DB), which stores approximately 300 data values over a timeframe of 1 to 5 minutes. The application also features configuration management for installation and runtime settings, soft alarm generation for temperature and humidity variations, and CAN monitoring/control for various parameters including system resets and command switching. Additional functionalities include event logging, data visualization, analysis, processing, and storage.
