  2. Introduction CAT is a national-level entrance exam for management studies to enrol in one of the top business schools. If you are aspiring to do an MBA, then appearing in the CAT exam is a mandatory prerequisite. The CAT entrance examination is conducted by the IIMs (Indian Institutes of Management) on a rotational basis. On the basis of your CAT score, you will get admission in one of the IIMs or other top business schools.

  3. Courses Offered Through CAT 2017 Students have a variety of courses to choose from. The courses offered through CAT 2017 are: * Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (PGPBM) * Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) * Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGPM) * Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) * Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM) * Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM)

  4. CAT Eligibility Criteria 2017 In order to sit for this entrance exam, the following eligibility criteria have to be fulfilled. * A graduate degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent. * 45% marks in graduation in case of SC, ST, and PwD candidates. * Candidates appearing for the final exam of their degree or those awaiting their results can apply. * The candidate must be a citizen of the country.

  5. CAT Application Form 2017 You can now easily fill the CAT application form online. The application process begins in the first week of August 2017. Candidates can visit the official website of CAT to complete the registration process and get a unique login ID and password to fill the application form. The application form must be completed within 30 minutes, in one sitting, as the session will expire post 30 minutes.

  6. Application Fee Details Last year, the CAT application fee for General Category was INR 1,700 and INR 850 for SC/ST/OBC categories. Additional charges are applicable.

  7. Preparation for CAT After you fill up the CAT application form, refer to study material for CAT which is available online. Also, you can enrol in a coaching centre that will help you prepare for the CAT exam.
