FALL 2014 NORWELL TRAIL WALKS Explore conservation trails on a guided walk,then bring family & friends back and enjoy them again.To Sign up, please call the Recreation Office 781-659-8046 to list your name & to get directions andparking info. Walks are between 1.5 -3 miles. Wear appropriate footwear & clothing; rain or shine! BYO Water Bottle, Sun Screen and Bug Spray. Please no dogs or strollers. • THURDAYS @ 12 Noon FREE (Walks are expected to last about an hour and a half from the actual walk start time. Most of the walks have optional turn around loops for people who need to leave early. • Leaders: Nancy Hemingway, Conservation Agent & George Grey, Recreation Director Sept 18 - Stetson Meadows, Stetson Shrine Lane Sept 25 - Jacobs Trail, Jacobs Lane– (This walk has an optional diversion to Hornstra Ice Cream Stand - noon-3) Oct 2 – Cuffee Hill, Mt. Blue Street (Nature Conservancy Parking Area) Oct 9 - Fogg Forest, Main Street Field Oct 16 - Mystery Walk, Town Hall Parking Lot Oct 23 – Bowker/Simon Hill, Town Hall Parking Lot Oct 30 - Mystery Walk, Town Hall Parking Lot Nov 6 - Donovan Field Pathway – Town Hall Parking Lot, Dependent on phase II boardwalk being completed. Alternate or extended walk will be Wildcat Trail New for Fall 2014, Saturday Family Walks! Meet at the parking area for the park listed! Meet at 9:00 AM Sept 27 – Jacobs Trails and IslandOct 11 – Fogg Forest Most trails are woodland trails with stones and roots, walking surface is mostly rolling with a few moderate hills. Walk pace is appropriate for approximate age 6 and up. Some trails cross wet areas so appropriate footwear is encouraged. Geocache information will be included in the daily trail map for those parcels that have them. x
