  2. WHAT IS GREEN GUARD The Greenguard Environmental Institute (corporately styled "GREENGUARD") is an industry-independent organization that aims to protect human health and improve quality of life by enhancing indoor air quality and reducing people's exposure to chemicals and other pollutants.

  3. What are Greenguard standards? GREENGUARD Certification standards are nationally recognized voluntary standards which establish requirements for low-emitting products used in indoor environments, such as building materials, finishes, furnishings, cleaning products, and electronic equipment.

  4. Greenguard material When a product has achieved GREENGUARD Certification, it means that it has met some of the world's most stringent field-validated and performance-based standards for low chemical emissions

  5. Greenguard Vs Greenguard gold Certifications  GREENGUARD Certification: Total VOC emission rate of 500 μg/m. GREENGUARD Gold Certification: Total VOC emission rate of 220 μg/m.

  6. Is Green Guard Legitimate? It is an industry-independent, non-profit organization, also called the Greenguard Environment Institute (GEI). The GEI offers certification programs for products and buildings. The Greenguard Certification is accepted by sustainable building programs and in building codes worldwide.

  7. What does it mean to be Greenguard gold certified? GREENGUARD Gold Certification is a voluntary third-party program that test for over 10,000 chemicals and Volatile Organic Compounds. Products certified under this program bear the GREENGUARD Gold label
