  2. Definition of Faith My Definition: I believe that faith is something you believe so fully with your heart that you don’t need to prove it. Real Definition: Faith is the confident belief or trust in the truth or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing that is not based on proof.The word faith can refer to a religion itself or to religion in general.

  3. What I believe about Faith • I believe in God, Jesus and the Virgin Mary • I believe that God is the beginning and the end and that whoever believe in him shall have everlasting life in heaven • I have a difficulties sometimes with faith. Every now and again it is shaken, but it usually ends up working out • I believe that I am here on earth because god made humans and that’s why I am here. • I feel God is with me whenever I go through the trials and tribulations that I go through in life.

  7. Prayer I try to pray quite a bit. I pray by sitting by myself in silence sometimes as well as at night. I like to pray when I am alone at my house. Sadly, like a lot of people I pray most when I need something. This is what I would like to work on. I want to start praying more and doing more prayers of thanks. I want to pray more before meals and give thanks more.

  9. Biography • Named Orpah Winfrey after a character in the bible. Now goes by Oprah Winfrey. • Born in Kosciusko, Mississippi • Got a scholarship and got a BA in speech and performing arts • Her career in media first started at the Nashville television station • First black woman to work as a news anchor for the Nashville television news • Was then moved to a talk show called “People are Talking” • Then worked on a talk show called “AM Chicago” • Later changed the name to “The Oprah Winfrey Show”

  10. Oprah’s Journey of Faith • At a young age, Oprah’s parents separated and was sent to live with her grandparents. She lived in very poor surroundings until the age of 6 when she moved in with her Mother. She was consequently sexually molested by male relatives at a young age and had to endure the hardship until she was 14. She then moved in with her father. Oprah struggled with drugs and rebelious behavior and lost her baby after it dying due to being premature. She eventually settled down and gained a scholarship. This turned her life around and she went very far in life. She now is hosting the Oprah Winfrey show. She is a religiously strong woman and went through a lot. Her life is basically a journey of hardship and faith.
