  3. How do you conjugate a verb in the imparfait? STEM ENDINGS add the following endings: je  ais tu  ais il/elle/on  ait nous  ions vous  iez ils/elles  aient • “nous” form of the verb (present) minus the “ons” • Examples: parlerparlons parl finir finissons  finiss dire  disons  dis boire  buvons  buv

  4. Take the verb “aller” for example! nous allons all j’ allais tuallais elleallait nous allions vousalliez ilsallaient

  5. One exception is the verb “être” j’ étais tuétais on était nous étions vousétiez ilsétaient
