  3. Agustín Arturo Prat Chacón (Hacienda San Agustín de Puñual, Ninhue, Chile, 3 de abril de 1848, - Iquique, 21 de mayo de 1879) marino, militar y abogado chileno. Es considerado en Chile como su máximo héroe naval. Hijo de Agustín Prat del Barril y Rosario Chacón Barrios. Participó durante la Guerra contra España (1865-1871) en varias batallas navales importantes, incluyendo el Combate Naval de Papudo en 1865, en el cual fue capturada la goleta Covadonga. Durante la Guerra del Pacífico comandó la Esmeralda en el Combate Naval de Iquique en el cual murió.
