  2. Why I Love North East? North East is a traveler's paradise which is famous for it’s natural beauty, diversely unique and rareculture, peopleand wildlife. More than 160 different tribes with different languages and culture makes North East India a fantastic holiday destination. Throughout the year, many festivals arecelebrated demonstrating diversity of culture through their folk dance, food and arts. Wildlife sanctuaries and National Parks where rare birds, plants and animals bestow captivating insights to the visitors.

  3. Tawang Monastery – This monastery is the largest monastery in India, considered as the spiritual heaven with aura of peace and tranquil. Situated at a height of 10,000 feet in Arunachal Pradesh, it provide a spectacular sight of the valley. • Kaziranga National Park– Kaziranga National Park is a Heritage site declared by UNESCO. This park is famous for endangered species - One-horned Rhinos • Nathu La Pass– Located in northern Sikkim, Nathu La Pass is a part of ancient silk route. The name of this pass literally translate into "listening ears" because you can hear your own voice resonate back. • Mawsamai Caves– Mawsamai caves located in Meghalaya are famous tourist place. The thrill of exploring these cave will leave you spell-bound. • Japfu Peak and Dzukou Valley– Considered as Scotland of east, these places are famous for camping and trekking . The most famous of them is boat race held in the annual festival. • Gori Chen – Gori Chen peak is the highest peak of Arunachal Pradesh. This peak is famous for trekking circuits among climbers and hikers. • Cherrapunji –Located in Meghalaya , Cherrapunji is the wettest place in the whole world. Cherrapunji is famous for root bridge under which you can camp or even climb this amazing bridges. • Nuranang Falls– Nuranang Falls also know to world as bong bong fall is 100 meters in height. "Tanhai Tanhai" song of Bollywood movie "KOYLA" is shot here. • Touphema Village – Touphema Village is located near Kohima in Nagaland is model heritage village constructed to preserve and bring forth the lifestyle and culture of Naga Tribes. Best time to visit North East • North East is a year around destination and each season has its own unique flavor. • Peak Season – November to May– This is the best period for visiting North East as there is no rain and winter is very pleasing and perfect for exploring this beautiful place. You can even enjoy Tawang festival celebrated during first week of May. • Off Season – May to October – If your monsoon lover, enjoy walking alongside dark clouds and relish waterfall, this is the perfect season for you.

  7. By Air – There are six airports in North East but four are most important located in Guwahati, Imphal, Dimapur and Agartala city. These airports have regular flights from New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. Reaching Manipur is very convenient and it is only 6 kms away from Imphal. • By Train – The train journey is extremely scenic. All the major cities of India is well connected to Assam by railways. Assam and Arunachal Pradesh are the only states in North East with railways. The fastest train from Delhi is Rajdhani Express which is 28 hours long journey followed by North East Express which takes 32 hours. • By Road - Assam is well connected by road to all the adjourning states by roads.
