Plus 12 month option to extend Pan government framework Covers cars and car derived vans Ten suppliers awarded (currently eight) Flexible leasing options: profit sharing, payment profiles, maintenance, open book accounting, supplier restriction Allows access to other framework agreements (vehicle purchase) Standard T&Cs via Master Hire Agreement (MHA)

  15. Fleet Management Services Framework period: Lot 1 & 2 - 2nd November 2009 – 1st November 2011 with an option to extend for a further 2 years. Lot 3 – 2nd November 2009 – 1st November 2013 Savings of 26% on labour rates and 13% of fleet management fee

Fleet Management Services continued Framework agreement has three lots: Lot one - fleet management services, including accident Management - five suppliers awarded Lot two - fleet audit and consultancy – ten suppliers awarded Lot three - fleet management services including the option to contract hire for organisations requiring a higher level of security – one supplier awarded

  17. Vehicle insurance – brokers Framework period 20th October 2008 for 3 years. Plus 12 month option to extend Pan government enabled Four suppliers awarded Broker advises PSO on appropriate level of cover Fully comprehensive, third party and funded insurance Framework offers: accident management, uninsured loss recoveries, courtesy car, safe driver training, legal services

  18. Vehicle insurance - underwriters Framework period:3 June 2009 for 2 years. Plus the option to extend for 2 years 12 suppliers appointed (currently 11) Only underwriter framework in UK and public sector Appointed brokers can ONLY access the framework agreement Trade on underwriters standard policy document Framework agreement access: • Obtain two quotes (incumbent and another) • Pass over claims history, fleet profile etc • Broker contacts underwriter market • Brokers presents quotations to PSO • PSO makes decision

  19. Tyres and associated services Pan government enabled Framework period: 1 January 2007 to 31 December 2009. Has been extended for a further 12 months until 31 December 2010 Consists of two suppliers (Michelin and Goodyear) Enables UK public sector organisations to purchase tyres and associated services by entering into call-off contracts with suppliers

Vehicle hire New framework due April 2010 based upon the following lots: Lot 1 - cars and light commercials Lot 2 - commercial vehicles up to 7.5T Lot 3 - lot 1 and 2 combined Benefits: Maximum price cost model with option for suppliers to reduce costs at further competition Lots aligned to market and public sector requirements EU compliant

  21. Lease of commercial vehicles Scope: all types of commercial and converted vehicles Pan government enabled Framework period: 20 July 2009 – 19 July 2011. Plus the option to extend for 24 months No firm prices agreed. Further competition required to agree local service levels

Lease of commercial vehicles continued Framework agreement has two lots: Contract hire – operating lease, lease company takes an agreed level of responsibility for managing and maintaining the lease. Seven suppliers awarded. Lease finance – lease company finances the purchase of an asset and if required maintenance costs . Operating Lease or Finance Lease . Four suppliers awarded.

  23. Trailers and mobile units Pan government enabled Framework period: 1 June 2009 to 31 May 2012. Plus the option to extended for a further 12 months Access to vehicle purchase and lease of commercials framework agreements

  24. Trailers and mobile units continued Lot one – mammography. Let in conjunction with the National Breast Screening Unit. Five suppliers awarded Lot two – general trailers and mobile units. Covers mobile library, dental unit etc. No firm prices agreed, requires further competition
