  2. Summary This paper investigates: Regrets associated with users’ posts onFacebook based on a series of interviews, user diaries, and online surveys involving 569 American Facebook users.

  3. Appreciation • This paper draws attention towards the proactive measures that could be taken to avoid the facebook regrets. • I agree with the author that using customized privacy settings can avoid the regrets associated with facebook.

  4. Appreciation Contd.. • I appreciate author’s suggestion to facilitate and strengthen the user’s existing coping mechanisms by building a content-based reminder. • It could be triggered when a user posts a message that contains words or phrases indicative of sensitive and controversial topics.

  5. Criticism • This paper takes into consideration the behavior of American Facebook users, recruited from Amazon’s mechanical Turk. • These users might not represent the whole population of Facebook users. People in different parts of the world have different behaviors, attitudes and ideas of privacy.

  6. Question • What are the potential privacy risks associated with Facebook or any other SNS? • What kind of tools can be built to avoid the users posting regrettable content?
