  8. Angelina ClarkeMIT SloanCorporate Planning Topic: Infosys is exploring the use of outcome-based pricing in order to become a strategic partners to clients Project: I benchmarked the use of outcome-based pricing in various industries, with a focus on the technology sector. In combination with internal interviews with Infosys stakeholders – such as the Co-Chairman of the Board – some of whom had employed outcome-based pricing on a trial basis. Outcome: I created a series of recommendations for the use of outcome-based pricing in particular situations, beginning with a trial series in certain business units. I presented my findings to the Head of Corporate Planning. “I had a great time and learned a lot.”

  9. Georgios DrossinosInternational Relations, University of PennsylvaniaRetail Unit "I highly recommend the InStep program to everyone, regardless of what you are studying and at what stage of your studies you are in. The combination of working for such an innovative and growing company in a country as diverse and interesting as India was a transformational experience." Topic: Infosys’ Retail, CPG and Logistics unit created a solution that provides visibility into shopping behavior and shelf activity through an in-store network of wireless sensor-based applications. It enables real-time collaboration between people (shoppers), places (retailers) and products (CPG companies) at the point of purchase. Project: My first project I conducted competitive analysis on Shopping Trip 360 (a suite of pervasive technology solutions for retailers) in preparation for its launch, which occurred at the beginning of August. The analysis was approved and used by the senior leadership of my business unit. Outcome: The competitive analysis was used in positioning the Shopping Trip 360 solution in the marketplace, and the solution débuted during my internship.

  10. Christine ZhangStudent of Smith College Interned with Knowledge Management “Working with the KM team gave me the opportunity to unite my quantitative analysis skills with my written communication skills in analyzing and researching data from Infosys’ Chinese and Australian subsidiaries. The internship was amazing, both professionally and personally.” Topic: Knowledge Management (KM) is a way of leveraging the collective intellectual power of a company. It is especially important in large corporations such as Infosys, because it creates official channels that help employees share and transfer knowledge. For example, the KShop database is a Google-like search engine that contains a repository of documents written by Infoscions on various subjects. Project: Christine worked with the KM team to develop strategic business initiatives for launching and promoting Knowledge Management in Infosys Australia and Infosys China. Outcome: Her research enabled a better understanding of the cultural aspects of Australia and China.

  11. Benny Leong Student of CIT, Purdue University Interned with SETLabs Topic: Survey of test data generation techniques and the automation of requirement-based regression test suite generation. No existing effective method for the generation of regression test suite. Project: Created a novel approach to regression test suite generation that focuses on one of the common system requirement models: the activity diagram. Outcome: Conferred the ‘Outstanding Intern’ Award by Infosys Chairman NR Narayana Murthy, for his contributions to his project. “Undoubtedly, my experience working on the project was nothing but extremely exciting, absolutely thought-provoking and completely fulfilling. With the guidance of my project mentors, the resulting Proof of Concept from my project will not only able to generate hundreds of test suite in a matter of seconds but also change the work culture of software testers.”
