Kangaroo • Number of Kangaroo in 2011: 34,303,677 (by Australian Department of Environment http://www.environment.gov.au/node/16759 ) • Description: • - Red Kangaroos: hop as fast as 70 km/h &comfortably travel at 20km/h. • Kangaroos are marsupials (it means they keep babies in the pouch.) Babies in the pouch for about 9 months, before getting out for the first time. • Female kangaroos deliver babies after 1 month pregnancy. • Amazingly, kangaroo can even produce 2 different varieties of milk: one for the newborn baby, and another for the older sibling who still lives in the pouch.
