  2. Is the display of your Brother Printer showing “Ink Empty” message? Have you replaced it and the message appears again? This problem occurs when You make incorrect selection during replacement of cartridge. When the cover is not closed properly over the ink cartridge. Push its hook directed towards the cartridge to make sure that it is actively latched over the top. • Once the cartridge is installed, hold the scanner cover and lift it to unlock and push it down to close it.

  4. You may see the message “Did you change Black? Yes or No?” on the display. This message appears when you change any color cartridge. Make sure to choose correct option i.e. yes otherwise, it may show “Ink Empty” message again. • Once this is done, the printer will go in cleaning mode. When it finishes, the LCD will get back to its date and time. • If the screen shows “No Cartridge” error, then there is a chance that one or another ink cartridge is empty. Therefore, open the front lid of the Brother Printer and check the LCD display if it shows “Change Cartridge install xx”. If it is so, then replace it.
