  2. Introduction • Rev. 2:10 • What does it mean to be faithful unto death? • Includes being faithful to the point of dying for the faith and remaining faithful until the end of life

  3. Introduction • NOTE-just because a Christian sins does not mean they have become unfaithful in the sense of abandoning the faith and returning to the sinful ways of the world • All Christians sin from time to time • 1 Jn. 1:8

  4. Introduction • Christians cannot continue in sin! • Rom. 6:1-2 • To continue in sin is to become unfaithful

  5. Introduction • The Key to remaining faithful is to recognize that we sin, confess our sins, and ask for God’s forgiveness • 1 Jn. 1:9 • What are some things we may do in order to remain faithful?

  6. I. Every Day Let God Say Something To Us • Study the Word of God • 2 Tim. 2:15 • Ps. 119:105 • Acts 17:11

  7. II. Every Day Say Something To God • Pray • Ps. 66:18 • Prov. 28:9 • “Prayer will stop sin or sin will stop prayer” • Js. 5:16

  8. III. Every Day Say Something For God • Our speech and manner of life should bring glory to God • Phil. 1:27 • Mt. 5:16

  9. IV. Every Day Do Something For God • Gal. 6:10 • Js. 5:19-20 • 1 Cor. 15:58

  10. Conclusion • If we do become unfaithful we must: • Sincerely repent • Confess our sins • Pray for God’s forgiveness • This is God’s “second law of pardon”

  11. Conclusion • God’s first law of pardon is for the alien sinner • Faith • Repentance • Confession of faith in Christ • Baptism into Christ
