Tips for Success
  • Work closely with the assigned federal Program Officer.
  • The newer the program, the greater your chances for success.
  • It usually takes two attempts to win a federal grant.
  • Follow the application guidelines. Allow plenty of time to prepare the proposal and make changes.
  • Adjust existing projects to the RFP.
  • Develop a PERT chart and use it as your writing guide.
  • Demonstrate the project is ready to roll.
