Definition of STEM- The term “STEM” stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It is a pedagogical approach which comprises core elements such as knowledge, skills, and values. The concept is a worldwide challenge, and we have been observing the fastest use of technological automation for a long time. Machines, algorithms, massive data, artificial intelligence, AR, Virtual reality, and many more have replaced the human workforce. These developments have created considerable challenges in developing countries and their economy. According to experts, 75 to 80% of job opportunities will be made in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The upcoming generation will require more skills and competencies to establish, succeed, and grow. The Asian Development Bank Institute stated in “Realizing Education for All-In-the Digital Age” that “the challenges are twofold - to achieve the spread of access of high- quality education in a way that enables all people to deal with this rapidly changing environments in both their work and social lives.” STEM Education at Schools - Importance The schools integrate STEM activities across age-appropriate learning areas.
