  1. Think First Pick up your Atomic Theory Timeline and Science research project proposal. Resubmit your proposal if needed. The formal lab write-up us due next class!! • Solve • A helium-neon laser emits light with a wavelength of 633 nm. What is the frequency of this light? • An FM radio station broadcasts at a frequency of 98.5 MHz. What is the wavelength of the station’s broadcast signal? c=λν c = 3.00 x 108 m/s M = mega (1 million)

  2. Finish the 5 activities from last class: When you are finished I will come to your desk and score your work. • Flame tests pg. 125; follow directions in book. • Emission spectrum drawing: Choose a gas and draw it’s emission spectrum. Follow directions at this station. • Read pp.117-121 in the chemistry text and complete practice problems 1-4 on pg. 121 • Read pp. 122-124 in the chemistry text and complete practice problems 5-6 on pg. 124 • Create a Frayer Model of light as a particle and light as a wave (see example on white board).
