IPC Working List Management(IPCWLM) project • 2016 activities: • Review of Project resources • EPO-WIPO Bilateral cooperation on the approach • Preliminary conclusions: de-coupling of • the MCD-IPCRECLASS synchronization problem • the acquisition by WIPO of a solution addressing the expected handover and functional evolutions • 2007-2009 Residual Working Lists analysis • Investigations related to MCD-IPCRECLASS synchronization

IPC Working List Management(IPCWLM) project • Investigations on IPC reclassification backlog 2007: • The actual situation in MCD is different from what was expected • Synchronization only is not sufficient to address IPC reclassification backlog issues • Side effects of earlier problems in the IPC Validity File • Issues Specific to particular national collection • Default Transfer applied in IPCRECLASS • Theoretical conclusions made in 2016 need to be confirmed by new sets of Residual Working Lists in 2017 in order to define IPCWLMS functional scope

  4. IPC Working List Management Solution(IPCWLMS) planed timelines • Validation of procurement Approach: Q1 2017 • Terms of Reference for IPCWLMS and Contract by WIPO: S1 2017 • Implementation phase 1:Q3 2017 to Q2 2018 (for IPC 2019.01 WL) • Implementation phase 2: Q3 2018
