  2. Overview • Bo Yu developed software for use by the NSS-MIC Conference • License agreement between Bo Yu and NPSS presently under negotiation • For sponsored NPSS Conferences • For co-sponsored NPSS Conferences (e.g., RADECS) need to get Bo Yu’s personal commitment • Software very versatile • Summary submission (used by 2009 and 2010 NSREC) • Summary review (used by 2010 NSREC) • Submission of Proceedings papers to IEEE Xplore

  3. 2010 NSREC Experience • Jeff Black (2010 NSREC TPC) used it for both summary submission and review • Overall there were very few complaints – the software worked fine • Some glitches were noticed and fixed rapidly by Bo Yu (Bo Yu was very responsive) • All submitted summaries were sent to session chairs within 12 hours of the summary deadline • Jeff took about 10 hours to become familiar with the software • Jeff plans to put together a TPC guide giving instructions on the use of the software

  4. RADECS • Bo Yu has stated that he will work with RADECS as needed • Cost for summary submission and review ~$1000 US (assumes he can mostly clone NSREC software) • Cost for Proceedings will be extra • Major advantages • Many options • Software very inexpensive (less than one registration fee for summary submission and review) • Provides consistency from year-to-year • Many of the NSREC users will overlap with many of the RADECS users and are now familiar with the software • Can expedite the availability of Proceedings on IEEE Xplore
