History of National Research Institute of Animal Production 1946 – establishing of the Zootechnical Experimental Stationby eminent geneticist and animal scientist Teodor Marchlewski 1950 – transformation into the National Research Institute of Animal Production, 2006 –National Research Institute of Animal Production has got the status of State Research Institute.

  12. The National Research Institute of Animal Production- SRT is one of the largest Polish scientific research institutes accountable to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The Institute has six scientific departments and 12 experimental stations all over Poland.

  15. Mission • The Institute's mission is to carry out research: • in the field of animal production • related sciences with a view of safe food of animal origin and environmentally friendly conditions for animals, • to use farm animals for biomedical purposes.
