Current considerations for Applications • Data product format; swath (regional), gridded (various), delivery format (UGI, tools, datasets, files, KML), AirSWOT study wrt data? • Data volume; global vs. regional, targets or ‘type’ data sets • Data latency: user needs vs science req., NRT/data delay • Data quality & resolution • Identifying users (orgs & individuals): User database/survey • User needs; SAWG meeting & user workshop • Don’t ‘oversell’ SWOT to users

Summary • Finalize, begin implementation of SWOT applications plan, enhance info on webpage, and collaborate with SWOT SDT/SWG (hydrology, ocean, coastal) for connections to operational users • Finalize & implement Early Adopters Program, survey, identify community of practice/potential, beginning with SDT • Characterize and summarize key applications and existing or potential users • Support AirSWOT, seek opportunities to enhance data usability as ‘simulated SWOT data’ • Joint outreach to promote SWOT • Continue international collaboration on joint applications efforts • SWOT Applications Working Group meeting/user workshop – planning.
