  8. Why we caption with Tegrity? Remove Barriers to faculty for teaching online! • Made the decision to caption ALLTegrity videos produced for distance learning courses • Ongoing (forever) process • ADA 508 was a concern! • And it is the right thing to do

  11. Closed-Captioning How we caption with Tegrity Transcription team: use a “Wave pedal” start/stop speed, etc. Transcription team: about 2-3x time, $10 per hour Programmer team: about $15 per hour Total Cost = ~$25

What we’d like to see change • Moving the closed-captioning under the Instructional Video • Mobile users can see closed captions • Bigger space more text = higher level of accuracy! • Additional Contents: • Copied at the same time when a user copy a course: in compliance with sections 508 (actual script is included)
