  3.  Your task • Read through the information about Galen’s life on p.38-9 and create a table in your notes. On one side record all the similarities with Hippocrates and on the other all the dissimilarities • If you were going to design a monument to Galen what would be the key aspects of his life you’d include.   8.  Homework • Imagine you are Galen and you have seen a job advert for the Emperor’s surgeon. Write a letter of application. Include the following: • A general introduction explaining why you were attracted to the job • References to the traditional skills you have • References to the new skills you have • A final paragraph explaining why you are the best man for the job! • You may also wish to include your CV!
