IPR Sectoral Guides • 4 Guides – Textiles and Cloting, Footwear, Leather and FurtnitureIndustry • For the use of enterprises, particularly SMEs • Covering countries like Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and the United Kingdom, but also USA, India, China and Russia • Available in 13 languages free of charge • To be disseminated through a serie of awareness seminars

Contributors to the Guides Partners : • University of Alicante – coordinator • Sectoral organizations: CETTEMSA, EURATEX • NPOs: BPO, UPV, INPI (FR), DPMA, OBI, HPO, UIBM, UPRP, INPI (PT), OSIM, OEPM, UKPTONPO Lithuania with the observer status Subcontractors : • COTANCE – European Leather Association, • UEA – European Furniture Manufacturers Federation • CITEVE – Technological Centre for the Textile and Clothing Industries of Portugal • Subcontracted experts: Mrs. Vilma Misiukoniene and Dr. Roya Ghafele

  5. Main activities performed • Analysis of the needs and bottlenecks • Development of the Guides backbone • Analysis of the usefulness of the Guides with the proposed backbone • Guides drafting and revision • Translation and Printing • Dissemination through awareness-raising seminars

  6. Analysis of the SMEs needs • Around180 questionnairesanalysed: • 101 from Textiles and Clothing • 16 fromLeather • 31 fromFootwear • 32 fromFurniture • Majority of responses were received from SMEs, then National Sectoral Associations, Sectoral Research Centres and Large companies.

  7. Awareness seminars 15 seminars in target countries will be organised Seminar in France to be planned still Final international seminar in Brussels - September / October 2010
