  1. Reasons why India has a sexual viciousness issue revealed by Utthan Trust Brides tortured to death for dowry, girls are getting raped, and women are getting humiliated and molested everywhere. Women are always considered weak and vulnerable and that is why they are exploited everywhere in India. Crimes against women have more than doubled over the past ten years, but no one knows the reason behind it. Violence against women can happen anywhere like home, public place or office. It is a big issue and cannot be ignored, so Utthan Trust NGO has brought this article for you to tell you the reason why India has a sexual violence problem. Let’s look at the reasons behind the domestic violence. Lack of Female Police India has a lower percentage of female police officers, only 7% of police officers are women and their duty doesn’t involve petrol duty. When women report violence against them, the police refused to file a complaint and instead they ask vulgar questions. We would like to suggest that our government should recruit more women in Police for the safety of women.  Blaming proactive clothing The people of our country assume that the victims of sexual violence somehow brought this to themselves because they were wearing short clothes. A woman in short skirt also gets raped and a woman in Burka also gets reaped. Short clothes are an invitation to rape. In our country a 5 year girl is also raped and I don’t think this is because of short clothes. Our country should change the mentality first. There is no place for the misogynists in India. 

  2. Encouraging rape culprits We actually encourage rape victims by not giving them proper punishment. Rape cases stretch for years and the culprit roam on the roads freely. Such a delay encourages rape culprits and that is why people don’t scare to get punished after making such a big crime like rape. For an example, the 17 year old rape culprit of Nirbhaya got exit from the jail only because he was a juvenile. If he knows how to rape a girl, then he should be ready to get the brutal punishment.  Lack of Public safety Women are not protected outside their home. Gang rape can occur in a bus, which is roaming around the city. Women who drink, smoke and wear small clothes are widely seen as a morally loose girl in India. The clothes of girl defined the character of a girl, I would like to ask, why we don’t give them complete safety so that they can also work, educated and travel without any worry.  Low status of women Perhaps the biggest issue, isn’t it? Women are always considered lower in our country. They seem as a burden over their family and till the first day when she is born, her parents think about their marriage dowry instead of their studies. Throughout their lives they are taught to stay at home, not to study, not to wear short clothes, not to fulfill their dreams, etc. Males are more likely to be sent to school and have brighter career prospect. We need to change our self to see the change in our country. Women need to have a higher status in our society. You can work for the women's equality in Utthan Trust, a trusted NGO in Delhi.
