  1. FAQ’s For Fallopian Tube Recanalization - USA Vascular Centers

  2. At the USA Vascular Centers, we specialize in providing women blocked fallopian tubes treatment. Our non-surgical treatment for blocked fallopian tubes continues to prove effective by relieving pain and swelling, as well as increasing the chances of pregnancy. The blocked fallopian tubes treatment option is known as Fallopian Tube Recanalization, or FTR. FTR is performed as an outpatient procedure in our clinics by our skilled vascular surgeons.

  3. How Long is the FTR Procedure? Like most non-surgical vascular procedures we perform, FTR is completed in approximately 30 minutes. This is done by conducting the procedure on an outpatient basis, using only a light sedative. During the procedure, you will not experience any severe pain or discomfort, diminishing the need for a stronger anesthetic. Unless your diagnosis is more severe, you can expect the procedure to be finished in half an hour.

  4. Will I Go Home After the Procedure? Although the non-surgical treatment for blocked fallopian tubes does require a vascular surgeon, we perform the procedure in our clinics on an outpatient basis. Once your sedative has worn off and you are fully awake, you will be released to go home. This usually takes between one and two hours.

  5. Will I Be Able to Get Pregnant After the Procedure? Blocked fallopian tubes are a common cause of infertility in women and most who receive FTR do become pregnant. However, if your fallopian tubes are blocked due to a more severe infection or disease, pregnancy will be more difficult. Simply put, FTR does increase your chances of pregnancy, but it is not a complete guarantee.
