  3. Blink 182 history Brittany • They are a pop-punk group that came together in San Diego, California in 1991. • The band is a trio. • After the band landed their first record label they fired their drummer Mark Hoppus and hired Travis Barker.

  4. Throughout the 1990s through the millennium Blink 182 began to rise in the music industry with their catchy lyrics and beats. • They band has released six records and sold millions of copies. • During the early millennium Travis Barker and Tom Delonge went to go play with other bands in the meantime, but were still in the band Blink 182. • A few years later, the band did have a minor break due to Travis Barker and Tom Delonge playing and touring with other bands. • In 2009 the band did reunite and announced it at the Grammy Awards.

  5. Adam’s songAlexa • From the album enema of the state. • It was inspired from a suicide note written by a die-hard fan in 2000. • They saw how troubled the young boy was and wrote the song to educate the public.

  6. All the small things • This song was inspired by the ramones • “I wanted to write a song with na-na’s ‘cause I love the ramones. I thought I’ll write this song about my chick, and it’ll be an ode to the ramones too” (Delonge).

  7. Listening guide-all the small thingsCollin • . • In the beginning, the guitar is strumming and a solid drumbeat is in sync, this is a strong start to the song drawing you in instantly. At approximately fourteen second into the song, the main chorus begins with “all the small things”. At twenty five seconds in there is a drum mix up to just add a little more strength to the song but this only lasts about one second after this, at thirty nine seconds into the second the main chorus comes in as “ say it ain’tso, I will not go, turn the lights off, carry me home.” This ends at forty-six seconds in, and immediately after the chorus is over the song takes a drastic upturn and goes a lot more energetic with drums and guitars, the energy lasts for about thirteen seconds when then it turns to just a solo guitar. This starts at one minute in and ends at one minute and thirteen seconds. The song begins singing another verse and when the song reaches one minute twenty-five seconds then the main chorus comes in again, going on for six seconds and when that gets over the energetic part comes in again. The song mellows out a lot at one minute forty-five seconds causing it to turn to a much softer drumbeat and guitar solo. At two minutes four seconds the song begins to build and get louder as it builds to the final main chorus at two minutes and ten seconds and as soon as the main chorus is over the song slowly winds down and comes to a close.

  9. Listening Guide- adams songPreston • The beginning of the song is a solo guitar strumming the same three cords for seven seconds. The drums come in to sync with the guitar adding a fast pace beat building up to the opening of the song. Shortly after that, the solo singer comes in and the beat slows down and stays at a steady pace. The song is very deep and distraught adding a mellow tone to the song; the singer’s voice rises and falls throughout the first verse staying at the same consistent beat as song. • At forty-two seconds the drums stop and returns to the same three cord guitar solo. The drums come back in and the steady pace returns, leading up to the chorus. • When the chorus comes in it is very loud with heavy drums and multiple guitars all-playing together. The singer’s voice rises drastically almost to a yell shouting out the lyrics, which catches the audience’s attention immediately.
