Special EducationTransition From Part-C to Part-B Report • This Special Education State Report is now available in WESPaC • A new evaluation field called IDEA Part-C has been added • The IDEA Part-C field has been updated – Use the report to verify your data. The report can be found on your district’s export drive (X). It will be called something like: 2008.05.10_04.45.00_lind_school_district.linds.7_update_se_part_c.r.log • Replace ‘lind’ with the name of your school district • Remember: • Evaluations for children age birth to 2 years and 9 months should be coded with an evaluation type of Evaluation. • The evaluation that is done prior to the student’s 3rd birthday (must be at least 2 years and 9 months) must also be coded with an evaluation type of Evaluation. • The Permission Flag should be set to yes and the Permission Date should be entered. If the evaluation process took longer than 35 school days, the Timeline Reason must be entered.

Three reports • Attendance Truancy • Provides information on actions taken when students fail to attend school regularly • Grades 1-8 Unexcused Absence Report • Provides information on unexcused absences for students in grades 1-8 • Federal Suspension/Expulsion Report • Provides information on Special Ed Students who were suspended or expelled this school year.

  43. Grades 1-8 Unexcused Absence Report The reporting period is always based on the school start date through May 31st of the current school year. Select to Print Detail Report if you want to see the detail for each summary page.

  49. Federal Suspension/Expulsion Report Notes from OPSI: Bulletin 027-08 WSSSC The Education Data System (EDS) portal will be available at https://eds.ospi.k12.wa.us beginning June 1, 2008. Please complete and submit the required Weapons in Schools Report data and Student Behavior - Suspension and Expulsion Report data for each school building. Instructions, data element definitions, and frequently asked questions are available at this Web site. Data submissions must be completed by July 11, 2008.
