Population Growth, 1996 to 2006 • Population and employment operate in concert • Population gains create job opportunities, which new job creation attracts workers • Strong population gains made between 1996-2006 • Almost 300,000 more people live in the CRP area now than in 1996 (33% increase) • Population gains made at almost every jurisdictional level
