  1. Pattern 4 SentencesFor Dummies! By: Brandon Bell and DaysiCastro.

  2. Pattern 4 deals with a series of comma with no conjunctions. • Tip: NO ANDS!

  3. Incorrect way! • My taco had lettuce, and tomatoes, and cheese. • Help: how can this sentence be fixed? • Take the ands out of the sentence because pattern 4 is without any conjunctions.

  4. Correct way! • Lettuce, cheese, tomatoes were the extra accessories to my taco. • Once again no ands or it will be incorrect!

  5. Form! • The form that you want to put it in is: A,B,C which is just the series of commas.

  6. How do you remember this? • Just think pattern 4 is after 1,2,3 (comma,comma,comma,) • This is the only pattern that does this!

  7. Another example! • Football, baseball, golf are all American sports. • Perfect sentence! Looking for 3 subjects and no conjunctions!

  8. GAME! • In the morning I ate ___ , ___ , ___. • Words: eggs, ice cream, bacon, chicken nuggets, milk, and pizza. • Which one best fits in the blank?

  9. More games! • The pets that will go in my fish tank are a dog, guppy, and shark. • Which two things are wrong with this sentence? • Correct them!

  10. Now that you know how to do them you should practice more and get it on your head so you always know what a pattern 4 is!
