ECE 4006B Fall, 2002, Group 3, ROBIEL TECLEMICHAEL Progress Report Period (November 7-14, 2002) Progress: • Power Budget has been Verified • Built a New Tx Board and the results are promising • Performed Alignment Tolerance Tests on Rx. • Big Obstacle!!!!! The System Test Module was Down NO EYE Next Week: • Continue Working on Tx Board • Continue Alignment Tolerance Tests on other PD

ECE 4006B Fall, 2002, Group 3, ROBIEL TECLEMICHAEL Progress Report Period (November 7-14, 2002) Tx Board Debugging • Built new board • Recalculated Rmod • Replaced 1K Rmod POT with 20K POT • Lowered VCSEL to less than 4mm from board • Cut off VCSEL leads • Next step: • Build and test new Tx • Potential Problem • Driving Imod too high could have effected the chip or VCSEL
