  9. Technology Changes • Where we were is not where we are. • Where we are is not where we will be.

  10. Where is Technology Now? • Since 1990, the graphing calculator has been a favored technology of choice to aid student learning. We still feel this is a great tool, but other tools are coming.

  11. Where is Technology Now? • Excel is more widely accessible now that more students have their own computers and more schools have open labs.

  12. Where is Technology Now? • We are probably not far off from a time when most students will have a hand-held device that serves as a computer, phone, radio, data storage unit, web-browser, camera, and calculator.

  13. Technology Demonstrated in This Talk • HandyGraph • SRIP • PowerPoint • Tablet PC • Camtasia • Word • MathType • Excel • TI-84 Calculator • TI-SmartView • Graphlink Cable • TI Connect

  14. Projects • Creating a Technology Perspective • Creating a Quiz/Handout • Converting a Lecture Guide to a PowerPoint Presentation • Using Camtasia to Record a Tablet PC Screen and a Calculator Emulator
