  2. UP Diliman Students • 171 UPD students who are residents of Tacloban, Samar and Leyte

  3. UP Tacloban Cross-registrants • 192 students as of 25 November 2013

What UPD is doing • Housing • Students are housed in the 12 dormitories in campus • Dorm fees have been waived • Opening of Acacia Dormitory to UP Tacloban students • Acacia Dormitories is a four-building complex for undergraduate students and Law students • Scheduled to open 1stsem 2014-2015, but due to the need for dormitory space, one (1) floor in one (1) building was opened to accommodate UP Tacloban students

  5. To date, 72 female students are housed in the Acacia Dorm

  6. Food meals for students affected by Yolanda • 226 (UP Diliman and UP Tacloban) students have requested meal assistance. Funding thru donors • Price per meal – P 100/day for breakfast, lunch and dinner

  7. Financial Assistance • STFAP automatic re-bracketing to E2 of student- residents of the Eastern Visayas region • Psycho-social Support • Counseling sessions in the colleges • Group sharing in the dormitories • Free computer and internet use and printing • One–stop shop UP Tacloban students can go to the Office of Student Activities and avail of donated clothes

  9. Support for LIVING ALLOWANCE/ student Per Semester Computation 5,000.00/month 4 months P 20,000 / semester Per month Meals = 3,000* Books and transportation = 2,000 Total 5,000 *P 100/day x 30 days

  11. Support for Students in the Dormitories Notebook and pens Mobile phones • Hygiene kits • New PBB (panty, bra and briefs) • Towels • Laundry soap • Bed sheets • Blankets

  12. Support to open another floor in Acacia Dormitorygood for 60 female students • Mattresses • Towels • Pillows • Orocan cabinet boxes • Bed sheet • Blankets • Electric fans • Curtains
