  1. March 1, 2011 Sponsored by Story PTA STORYTELLER • Principal’s Corner - Safety Reminders • At dismissal time, we ask that parents wait in the designated areas (car line or side of building by the office).  Please do not enter the building to wait in the front office area or the covered patio to pick up your student.  We have a lot of students exiting through the front doors and want to avoid traffic flow problems. We also want to avoid the removal of a student without a staff member being made aware. • Recently we have had children running across the street where there is no crosswalk to reach their parents who are parked by the playground area.  This creates a very dangerous situation, because visibility of those students is limited by the parked cars.  We have addressed this concern with our students, and we ask your help ensuring that all our students understand that although it may seem inconvenient to walk to the corner, it is for their safety.  They must use the crosswalk for their safety. • Thank you for TEAMing with us! Judith Coffman, Principal The Counselor’s Couch Sixth Grade Parents – Student registration forms for middle school are due to Ms. Nichols or Mrs. Gilbert by Wednesday, March 2.
