Connecting the DataNet receiver (DNR900) to a PC via a local area network (LAN) In cases where a local area network is present there is a way to utilize the network infrastructure to connect the DataNet system to the network. This is a handy option to bridge a distance or to overcome RF data transmission issues in difficult locations. LAN cable Office Office USB cable

Hardware: USB to network server Model name: NetBo Model number: NH-204 • Instructions: • Install the server’s software (CD enclosed) • Connect the DNR900 receiver USB cable to USB input #1 (A) on the NetBo • Connect the network’s RJ45 cable to back socket (B) • Connect the AC/DC power adaptor to power the NetBo (red LED = active) (A) Connect the DataNet USB cable here (B) Connect the network cable here

Software: connecting to the device • Load the USBServer’s software from the enclosed CD. • Make sure the NetBo USB-LAN server device is connected to the local network and the DataNet receiver is powered, switched “ON” and the DataNet receiver USB cable is connected to the receiver and the NetBo device. • Click on the USBServer’s icon (A) to open the device server. • Click “Search” (B) the DataNet’s USB driver will identified on the network as “Silicon Labs CP2102 USB to UART bridge cont” with green icon (C) • Next click on “Connect” (D), when connected the green icon colour changes to orange (E) and the “connect” button is now “Disconnect” (F) • Return to the DataNet software and click on “network>Detect Receiver” the receiver’s icon should be green and active. Your DataNet receiver is now connected via your local network. E C A B D F

  4. Linking the DataNet system to your local area network RC USB cable connects the receiver to NetBo , a USB over Local Area Network (LAN) device. The red line illustrates the LAN cable connecting on one side the NetBo and the remote office PC. Office
