For reaching the castle, you can either climb up the steep steps or you can take a convenient cable car. 2. SALZBURG CATHEDRAL This cathedral in the city center dates back to 776. The museum exhibits things from Mozart’s life and shows how he was raised. It also exhibits the famous clavichord which was used to compose The Magic Flute. 4. STROLL DOWN GETREIDEGASSE Getreidegasse is the most famous shopping street of Salzburg. This pretty street is marked with numerous guild signs of big and local brands. Overall the street is very eye pleasing. Apart from shopping it also has plenty of restaurants and cafes where you can sit and watch the crowd go by. If you are a Harry Potter fan, it has the feel of Diagon Alley in some weird way. 5. EXPLORE ST.
