  2. Kosciuszko National Park Kosciuszko National Park is home to Australia highest peaked- Mount Kosciuszko, a 6,900 sq. km national park located in the southeast region of New South Wales. It is a protected national park, a 267,954-hectare park that is located on the outskirts of western Sydney. The region is bounded by an uplifted plateau, rugged roads, and dissected by large rivers. Mount Werong- 3986 ft. is its highest point while Nepean River-66ft. is its lowest point. The Blue Mountains was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000 and is amongst the fifteen Heritage Sites in the world with eight protected areas. This national park has also been listed in the Australian Heritage Register owing to its unique topography.

  4. Mount Kaputar National Park Mount Kaputar National Park is located 50 kilometers in the eastern region of Narrabri, Sydney, New South Wales. This park is an active volcano region that dates back to almost 17 to 21 million years. This region is largely characterized by volcanic plugs, lava terraces, dykes, and an interesting mix of flora and fauna. The park is notable for protecting a wide variety of biomes ranging from subalpine heath, semi-arid woodlands, eucalyptus forest, and animals like bats, wallabies, red triangle slug, quolls, etc. The park is a hotspot destination for rock-climbers, hikers, campers, picnics, and mountaineers. Popular spots around this region include the Scutts Hut, KurrawongaFalla, the camping grounds, Nandewar Range, Euglah Rocks, Sawn Rocks, Mount Yulludunida and Mount Ningadhun.
