What is a pre-policy medical checkup?
  • A pre-policy medical checkup is a pre-policy issuance procedure that a health insurance seeker is required to undergo before getting a policy issued by the insurance company.
  • Individuals above a certain age say age of 40 and above are required to undergo a medical test before buying the policy.
  • Few health insurers do not require you to undergo any medical test at all.
  • Insurers also ask applicants to get a medical check-up done, if they go for a higher coverage amount.
